{Spain} Where to stay in Barcelona? Eric Vokel Boutique Apartments

Erik Vokel Apartment in Barcelona

When we visited Barcelona in January of 2012, we spent a lot of time researching places to stay.

We ended up staying in a couple places in Barcelona, just because we broke up our trip to Barcelona into two (first one when we flew into Barcelona and second when we headed back to Barcelona after visiting Granada and Madrid to catch our flight back to the US).

We decided on Eric Vokel Boutique Apartments Industria Suites after comparing several other options and found a great deal through booking.com.

Right now, if you book through Eric Vokel’s website,  you also get free breakfast! (Note: We were not sponsored for this stay. We paid out of our own pocket. We really truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!)

Entrance

The entrance is a little hard to find if you’re arriving after dark (like we were). Look out for this small door on street level but don’t be fooled by the entrance. The apartments are nicely furnished and looks modern.

Check In machine

Check-in was a breeze. No agitated/overworked/tired receptionist to deal with even though we arrived at 3am in the morning!

A touch of class.

Why we love and recommend this apartment:

  1. Modern/beautifully furnished apartment.
  2. Located right in the heart of Barcelona Eixample.
  3. Nice sized apartment with full kitchen.
  4. Walking distance to Sagrada Familia (~200 metres).
  5. Wifi and local phone calls are included.
  6. You can also ask for cribs if traveling with infants/young children.
  7. Metro Station is close by (also walkind distance).
  8. Lots of little cafes/restaurants/grocery in the area within walking distance.
  9. Reasonably priced for the location and quality (we paid about 99 Euros per night).
Modern, clean full kitchen.

Terrace

We had a private terrace since our apartment was on the top floor.

Sagrada Familia

Sagrada Familia – walking distance from the Industria Suites.

We were very happy with the accommodation provided. Everything looked new, modern and clean. We stayed at the top floor which meant we had a private terrace overlooking the streets of Barcelona.

Best of all, it is within walking distance to Sagrada Familia!

If and when we head back to Barcelona, this is definitely our top choice for accommodation.

What do you think of this accommodation?

Have you stayed at another property you’d recommend in Barcelona?
